Lucy & Michael’s Spanish Destination Wedding, Mas Torroella, Girona, Spain

January 7, 2016

Back in July I had the privilege of photographing Lucy & Michael’s wedding in Spain. I had been particularly looking forward to this wedding because they were both friends and I knew the majority of Lucy’s family.

The wedding took place in a beautiful hilltop mansion called Mas Torroella in Girona which is near Barcelona. This place is seriously remote, it took 30 minutes winding your way up a private road to the venue. There were definitely going to be no complaints from the neighbours!

Lucy’s father is Spanish so it was the natural decision to have the wedding over in Spain. As you would expect for July, we had fantastic weather and the entire day was spread throughout the grounds of the venue.

The styling was elegant yet rustic, with a contemporary feel. There was a really nice relaxed vibe to the day and Michael produced some impressive moves down the aisle! The celebration continued into the early hours and was then followed by a spanish style BBQ next to the pool. Ben Connell second shot and assisted me for the two days.
