Sarah & Miltos’ Destination Wedding in Greece

March 2, 2015

Sarah & Miltos’ wedding took place in a traditional olive oil production plant in a sleepy village on the island of Lesbos in Greece. Miltos’ father is greek and his family still live there, so it made the perfect location for their destination wedding.

There is no tourism in the village which gave a real feel of remoteness and a sense isolation which made it a really special place to celebrate a marriage. A close friend of Sarah conducted the ceremony and one of the best men played the guitar as she came down the isle.

I don’t think you can beat eating under the stars surrounded by hillsides filled with olive groves backed by the gentle sound of the ocean. To finish the formalities the groomsmen performed a live set for the first dance.

The next day followed with a ‘hangover’ pool party for the guests to relax and recoup from such a great day.

I have to thank Sarah & Miltos for letting me be part of such a fantastic wedding but also because one of their images won me the UK Wedding Photographer of the Year.
